If not, you risk sending money to an individual who doesn't represent a registered business, thereby exposing yourself to potential fraud, especially when the person is not a licensed and insured business on Hawaii. Your funds are most likely not held in a trust account, and most likely will be mixed up with personal finances.
Vacation rentals managed by individual owners are only legal if they follow certain rules and laws as spelled out in Tax Act 326. These rules are created for your protection. The HRS statues of Hawaii specifically state that rental property must be managed by an on-island property manager and contact person.

We provide two types of arrival services:
Airport pickup: we can come greet you at the airport and escort you to your property. We can help you with entering the property and getting things situated.
Grocery Services: we provide basic grocery packages to get you through the first 48 hours. This is a great service that eliminates the need for you to immediately to the grocery store to shop for the basics.
There is no need to check in with our offices. We will send you an arrival package before you leave for your vacation. The package contains all the necessary information to locate your property, instructions where to find the keys, access codes, and anything else you need to start your vacation.
Absolutely! Please come by our offices during normal business hours. We would love to hear from you and get to know you. Our offices are located at the South end of downtown Kona, directly off Alii drive. Please refer to the map at the bottom of every page for our exact location.
Before you depart your hometown, we will send you a package that includes all required instructions to find the property. We will also send you a link to our smart phone app.

We will provide all necessary lines for the available beds, and towels. The number of towels depend on the size of the property and the number of bedrooms.
In all units we provide the necessary pots, pans, dishes, utensils etc. to make sure your stay is comfortable and you are able to prepare and consume your food in comfort.
The properties do not come with any groceries or food supplies. We will provide water, some coffee, soap, small box of detergent etc. to get you through the first few hours. We do offer grocery services for a fee. When you make your reservation, and register on our customer web site, you will be provided with an option to order a grocery package. We offer a few different package configurations.
Yes, you can drink the tap water in Hawaii. It is perfectly safe like anywhere else in the United States.
The properties are all outfitted with standard appliances. The higher end properties might have more expensive appliances like double ovens etc.
Yes, almost all of our units have a washer and dryer. Check out the feature list in the property of your choice and you will find detailed information about the property.
Most properties have air-conditioning, however, depending on the class of property you rent, the cost of running the air-conditioning may or may not be included. Electricity is extremely expensive in Hawaii. Properties positioned at higher elevations (hillside locations) often have a nice cool breeze, and opening a window is often enough to keep the property cool. Also, Hawaii is an open-air type of island. Most people enjoy the ocean breeze of the tropics over sitting in an air-conditioned room.
We will do our best to minimize disrupting your vacation. However, pools and landscaping must be maintained on a regular schedule to ensure the property you rented stays in tip top shape. We will inform you if maintenance services are scheduled during your stay.
You will have absolute privacy. The property you rented is yours for the duration of your stay. It might be necessary to perform repairs or other services during your stay. We will of course let you know ahead of time if any of this will take place. It's important that we have your most current contact information while you are in Hawaii so that we can connect with you when required.

When you booked with us we asked you to take out basic rental damage and liability insurance. This is to protect you and us. When you set up your account with us, after you complete your reservation, we will provide you with all the detailed documentation related to insurance. Kindly maintain a clean house throughout your visit. Bugs just love dirty counters, trash and dirty dishwashers. Upon your departure, the only towels left unclean should be those used during your last day (one towel per guest, plus the bed linens from each bed). The cleaners will take care of the items used during your last day. Please do not make the beds before you leave. Please put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher before you leave. We'll provide you with more details when you make your reservation. You can also find more information in our Rental Policies and Rental Agreement.
We provide lock boxes or electronic keys for all our properties. You can leave the main key in the lockbox after you lock the house and depart for the airport.
There is no need to check out at our office. Of course we would love to say goodbye, but we can arrange for all final items via email or phone.

Although this, and similar actions often bring additional services to consumers, they also increase costs, forcing acquired businesses to conform to new policies that maintain consistency across products and services. If damage of any sort is noticed upon your arrival, please immediately notify management. We do inspections before your arrival; however, sometimes things can get missed.
Please also notify management immediately if anything is not in proper working order during your stay. We can not fix it if we are not aware of the problem. Smoking is strictly prohibited in or immediately around all of our units and/or homes (incl. unit lanais). There will be a charge of up to $500 if any evidence of smoking is found.

Kindly remember to turn off appliances, fans and air conditioning (if/when applicable).
Due to back to back bookings, there is a charge of $50.00 for excessive cleaning (excess trash & dishes, incl. sand), a $30 charge per excess load of linens and carpet stain removal as quoted by a local vendor.

Why do I need to acknowledge all this information?
Our properties are not owned by us. We have the responsibility to assure our owners as well as our guests that we have everyone’s best interest at heart. We try to provide the information you need to make your stay with us as easy and accommodating as possible prior to your arrival. But we have legal requirements that must be satisfied prior to your arrival. The forms in this part of our website cover those important areas and requirements.

When do you need to have this acknowledged?
Please set up an account with us at http://www.boundlesshawaii.com/subs/index.php and acknowledge the legal documents BEFORE you start your travel. Preferably you take care of this right after confirming your reservation. We would like to make sure you are in the system so that your reservation is secured. We cannot confirm your reservation until such time we have received acknowledgement of the required documentation.
The website asks for the number people in my party. What if that changes?
Just let us know in advance and we will be happy to update your online registration.
What is Vacation Rental Damage Insurance and Why do I need it?
The CSA Vacation Rental Damage Insurance plan covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior that might occur during your stay. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $3,000. This is in lieu of a cash of equivalent amount.
Can I mail it back?
You really don't have to as you can acknowledge all of your legal documents online. This takes the burden out of scanning, emailing, faxing or mailing of documents, and it is easier for you to manage your reservations with us.
When do I get my directions to the property and how do I get in?
We collect a down payment from you upon making your reservation. The balance will be due 60 days prior to your arrival. After we have received your payment in full, you will receive directions and other valuable information 2-3 weeks before your arrival. We change security and lock box codes frequently and want to make sure you have the most updated information upon arrival. Once you receive your final check-in instructions, make certain you keep that paperwork with your travel papers. You will need it to locate your property, reference gate, lock box and internet codes if/where applicable.
